A meaning-'FUL' conversation? Naah some people aint got time for that !

A few hours ago, I received a forwarded message from an old college acquaintance in a group we're part of. The message was related to women's safety and warned against a specific scenario involving a child on the road. The message advised that if you encounter a child crying on the street who shows you an address and requests a ride to that location, you should immediately take the child to the police station rather than the suggested address. The message claimed that this was a new tactic used for criminal activities such as gang rape of women and girls, robbery, and violence against men and boys. It urged recipients to forward the message to all their contacts. I've encountered such messages frequently, as they are a common sight on various social networking platforms. However, I recognized this particular message as a fake, and I wanted to make a point. I responded with, "When people don't even have time to say 'Sorry' or 'Thank you' to strangers...

A Protective Father

The time was approximately 9:15 in the morning, and I was en route to my friend's house. Not in the mood to drive, I had opted for public transportation to reach my destination. While waiting for the bus, I couldn't help but notice many students carrying their books, likely engrossed in last-minute exam preparation. Amidst this scene, my attention was drawn to a father holding his daughter's hand as they patiently awaited the bus. When the bus eventually arrived, albeit running late as usual, I boarded and secured a window seat. To my surprise, the father and his daughter took the seats next to mine. Although I typically kept to myself when traveling, I couldn't resist my curiosity about why he was accompanying his 6th-grade daughter to school, especially when her friends appeared to be traveling independently. Opting for a non-intrusive approach, I initiated a conversation by saying, "Bringing your daughter to school, I see. Do you work near her school or are you ...

Do we need Super-Heroes ?

I am a great fan of Batman and Superman. All these years i have not lost my interest in them just because i wish they were just real. The heroes who always comes to your rescue when you really need them. But then the reality is that we dont have a Bruce Wayne or Clark Kent who would suit up and come to your rescue. All those stories that you have heard and read about them, all those cartoons and movies that you have seen about them, i'm sure that some of you have had dreams of being a super hero like Batman or Superman or a Vigilante who can make the world a better place to live. The fact is that we have heroes in real life who risks their life to help people who are in danger. We have people who do not need a disguise to protect their identity just because they do not consider themselves heroes. People who help others who are in need, people who makes the world a better place to live, people who has talents and uses them to make people happy, people who makes sure that his/her a...

The Alarm Clock in You....

Have you ever thought of getting up early in the morning without the help of an alarm clock? Yes we all do but the fact is we do not succeed more often. And what we all usually do is set an alarm 5-10 minutes prior to the time we need to wake up and press the snooze button so that we get 5 more minutes back in the bed :P.  So it was 4 years ago that i came over this method, and it was explained by one of my teacher from college. The very day i was eager to try it but then i forgot to try it for some time. Later when the exams came up i decided to give it a try and yes it did work perfectly. It was one hell of a miracle for me coz i never get up early even if the alarm buzzes me, at times i dont even hear it :P.  So here it is, the method is as simple as it is. Before you go to sleep, check the time and off to the bed you go after turning off the lights. Now laying down on the bed imagine your wall clock in your mind and imagine the hour and minute hand to be positioned at the ...

The Society and the System that we Live in

I live in a Society which tells me that anything that i do is wrong but then who is right; hell yeah they are. They say that the system is corrupt but then there is no wrong in them being corrupt; So are they not part of the system? They ask us to obey the rules and they often break the rules and say 'Rules are meant to be broken'. They teach us the lesson of truth but they can never listen to the truth and when someone tries to tell the truth they start telling(giving) rules and regulations. They abuse people polluting the streets, lakes and rivers and then do the same. They dont like being questioned on how they live but likes to choke your habit of living. They ask us to live your dream but questions and gives you advice on how to live your live. They have more right on you than we have on ourselves; Yup the Weird Society and the Fucked up System that we live in owes us our life right? Its like we should send in a request to live our life like we wish to live. Time is somet...

Another fine Friday and some celebrate 14th of February as Valentines day.

Another day on the surface of earth and some call it a day for lovers. Yes a few years back i did feel the same for this day but then thinking about it now i feel kiddish. A day meant for lovers!!! God you gotta be kidding me. I was not much online today but then when i checked the Facebook account all i could see was people posting all kinds of rubbish about love. And it feels so annoying that people just can ignore what the current affairs looks like but can never forget about the Valentines day. I was chatting with a friend of mine and he greeted me with Valentines day wishes and asked me whether i have a girlfriend. All i could say is "If you see Cupid, bitch-slap that little punk for me, will ya?". I always hated Valentines day as i usually dont get the whole point of celebrating a day for your better half when she is always with you. He then went on explaining how he was planning to take his girlfriend on a candle-light dinner this evening The chatting went on and w...

Sachin - God of Cricket

Image
My dad used to love cricket and thats how i started loving cricket. Dad taught me everything about cricket and then he taught me that there are 2 kinds of players in Cricket; one is Sachin and then the rest.  We watched Cricket together. We loved watchin Sachin Tendulkar play, win the matches, score tons, taking wickets, fielding, and making the crowd call out Sachin Sachin Sachin tru out the match. I hated watchin Sachin getting out, i'm sure most of the people loving cricket (Both Indians and Foreigners) hated that particular moment. Even Darren Sammy who took the catch last day was sad. Everyone would miss the legend on the field now. I still remember those stupid exams which came the next day there was a match but then i didnt miss Sachin playing, i would always ask dad to call me when Sachin would come to the crease and my dad was more than happy to call me up when Sachin came up. I have heard parents telling their kids when Sachin gets out "Why the hell do you want...
