People are Awesome....
We meet a lot of people on a daily basis; bad, good, real, fake and the category goes endless. But then some of them are awesome too. Its not the face that determines the person its what he/she does which explains what kind of a person he/she is. As a matter of fact some people do judge others just for the looks but deep inside there might be an awesome human being in him.
I do have a passion for photography and at times i do take my camera and set off on a trip. So while i'm off in the hunt for some really good pictures i do meet a lot of people. I love kids and usually i make them my subject but some parents don't really like the very idea of taking pictures of their kids. Once i was in a Mall and i found this very cute happy kid running around the food court; the very idea of taking his pic came up and i was like going to take some pics when a lady from behind started yelling at me asking not to take his pics. OK so that was weirdo... anyways i shut the camera and went back to chatting with my friends but then the kid was still there playing and all i could do was look at him and play with him. All that while the kids mother who was very good at yelling at me was not checking on the boy to see if he was alright. She was busy gossiping and eating with her friends. When it was time for me to leave i could not leave the kid there; i did not feel like leaving him there in the crowd. So i took him up and walked up to the lady, left the kid with her and left. Yes there are bunch of irresponsible people around you.
Now this happened a couple of day ago. I was travelling by a bus back home from a friends house and i usually takes the window seat. After a couple of stops a college student aged around 19-21 got in. So here in Kerala there is a trend going on making students a freak(in terms of the way they dress and the way they look). So this kid was in a funky tee-shirt of Bob-Marley with red trousers, messy hair, a couple of band on his wrist, a heavy backpack and a yellow framed specs. So when he got in to the bus the lady and her small kid who was near the door looked at him and i could hear her telling something to the co-passenger with a not so happy face (Keralites are very good at making that up). We all reached the bus station and it was time for us to get down from the bus. Now this very young man gets down with his backpack and his belongings and goes on the pavement. So in Kerala in every bus stations buses keeps coming and going in a very abnormal was and the speed of the buses need not be mentioned as they come in and take off as if the world is going to end. So now the womans kid was too small to realize these things and was still there on the road in the bus station. I got down through the back door and was standing on the pavement and suddenly i could hear the screeching sound of the brakes of a bus coming into the bus stand. The young lad seeing the kid on the way of the bus ran and bent over and took the kid. In the process his specs fell down and the bus that was coming the way ran over it. The woman was screaming the whole time but was not moving a bit. Now the young lad must have lost for about $30-$35 dollors saving the kid. But he just had a smile for the kid and planted a sweet kiss on the kids cheeks. Yes there are hero's among us. A lot of amazing people around us indeed......
